Well it has finally arrived after two years of campaigning and carrying on and spending oodles of our money it will all be over tonite by 11 pm Pacific time or will it?
What are you going to do if the guy you want didn't make it? Grumble and Fuss for another 4 years till you get another chance? Did you even vote? After two years warning if you didn't make the effort to register and then order your absentee ballot and mail it in or show up today at the polls, SHUT UP!:>
You don't have a say in what is going on. Maybe it will all turn out okay or maybe it won't but you didn't take the few minutes to fill out the form so you are done for another 4 years. I recommend that the next time the Presidential Election comes by you vote, you will feel better after you do it no matter who wins.
Now what is going to happen in the next 4 years, well that is anyone's guess, but my take on it is that we are not going to have a lot of fun. And don't blame BUSH, he had his fun and so did we.
We spent our money on cars and jet ski's and too many toys for our kids, not to mention refinanced our house a few times to get some extra cash for the big screen TV or a RV or Boob Job or Liposuction
Wake up! The next 4 to 10 years are not going fun, but we will all learn something and maybe our kids will too. We have to start making things again, We have to stop sending our money to other countries to make stuff for us. We have to stop wasting fuel and resources. We have to be responsible for our actions and thoughts.
Once we get through this things will be better, they always have. Don't blame the president, blame your Congressman, House representitive, your local government, your banker and real estate agent. Blame the TV news and all the rest, but also take a good look at YOU. We are all part of this, do your share to fix the problem and we will all be better for it.
Be a good American, live the dream so many people are willing to die for.
Work Smart, Laugh hard and Love till you drop!.
And remember to vote!

Whoa another year has passed
Many can you believe it a year has gone by, I must have been busy. Well we are just about at election time, who are you going to vote for. Barack or Mc Cain? To me it doesn't really matter who you vote for. What matters is that you vote and your voice is heard. If you don't like the way the government is run do something about it. email your congressman or woman and tell them whats on your mind. It does work. AARP does it, they send out an email to all the members and next thing you know there are at least 21,000 emails on their way.
We can all sit back and wait for something to happen, or we can make a difference. It may seem impossible but if you look at the voting records, you will find only a small percentage of this country votes, and changes policy that effects you. Stand UP and make the effort, get an absentee ballot if you must, fill it out and mail it back the same day you get it. It will be done and your decision will be made.
We are not sheep. we have a voice.
Have a Great Day!

How Time Flies
Man it is amazing that my last post was in Feburary! It's already half way through June! Time certainly flies when you are not looking. Well what I really wanted to talk about was opportunity. How do you know when an opportunity, a real, honest to goodness opportunity presents itself. An then what to do with it? Many of us get a chance in a lifetime but we are too scared, too lazy, to skeptical to check it out and take a good look. Make your self a decision. Take a look, take a second or even third look, then jump in and don't look back, because you will turn to stone and nothing will happen, have faith you are supposed to have that opportunity to learn to find out what is real and good for you. Go for it! More to come......

Is this the beginning, or is it tomorrow
Hello All!
Welcome to the first day of my blog, the very first words, and thoughts.......I wanted to quote Pablo Picasso because this thought is remarkable.
"Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone."
Pablo Picasso
1881-1973, Artist
You should be aware of this thought, because we always can put things off till tomorrow, and yet we never know if tomorrow will arrive for us. Tomorrow will always be there, it just may not involve us. Remember this when you do your tasks, greet your friends, love your family, go to bed at night. Tomorrow is a few hours away.
My goals for this blog is to provide a place to let thoughts have a place to escape, to provide information for those who seek it, to posssibly help others while I help myself move forward to tomorrow.
Join me on my adventure, lets see where it leads. What does the name mean? Shawangunk?
It is a place where I grew up, it is a Mountain Range in the Mid- Hudson Valley, near New Paltz NY.
A great place to climb and test yourself, and to be in awe of it's beauty.
Here is something from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shawangunk_Ridge
The name is a Dutch transliteration of the indigenous Munsee [Lenape] "Scha-WAN-gunk" (/ʃɑˈwɑŋˌgʌŋk/). The Lenape linguist Raymond Whritenour reports that, "Schawan" is an inanimate intransitive verb meaning "it is smoky air" or "there is smoky air." Its noun-like participle is "schawank," meaning "that which is smoky air." Adding the locative suffix gives us "schawangunk" ("in that which is smoky air" or, more simply, "in the smoky air").
Whritenour suggests the name derives from the burning of a Munsee fort by the Dutch at the eastern base of the ridge in 1663 (a massacre ending the Second Esopus War), where it spread quickly across the basin on land deeds and patents after the war. Historian Marc B. Fried speculates that it was derived from atmospheric conditions (a foggy, smoky morning) during the sale of the first parcel in January, 1682, though he also notes that its swift spread along the basin on subsequent deeds suggests it was in use as a proper name before the first purchase. By the early 18th century, Shawangunk became associated with the ridge. European colonists began to truncate Shawangunk into "SHONG-gum," (/ˈʃɑŋgʌm/) a pronunciation still favored by some locals and frequently misrepresented as the original indigenous name.
I guess it's time to disappear into the smoky air. Come back and visit often
Thank you for your time
